I don’t know if most of you that follow me know

I don’t know if most of you that follow me know this or not, but I share a studio with some very wonderful + kickass makers and business owners. I've seen them show up day in and day out, doing the hard work it takes to get the job done. Not only would I love for you to support them, but I also want to celebrate them on making it through yet another holiday season and, this time, a holiday during the worst year in a long time. 2020. We traveled the world early on and had such great hopes for what could have been. Now, I have fairly consistent thoughts of what will I do if business doesn’t bounce back.But it’s also been a year of growth, Lindz and I look at our finances differently, we spend more time outside, and when we do see the ones we love, it means that much more. We also had to opportunity to start a nonprofit with some of the best people I know. And something I’m working on is paying more attention to those things, less attention to the things that make me worry, stress, or fear. I’m not explaining them away, they are there, but if I can’t fix it or change it, then it doesn’t really serve me or help me grow and all it does is take the little joy that 2020 does have away. 35 was though because it wasn’t what I expected. Now I’m 36 and I understand the world a little better. #covid_19

I am beyond grateful to be nominated for the @hype_rva 2020 innovator award for my part in @sidekickrva. It wouldn’t have had a breath of life if our community didn’t show up and get busy.
